Northwood Carnival Glass
Harry
Northwood Glass Company was founded in 1901 in Wheeling, West
Virginia, by Harry Northwood, an Englishman and the son of a
prominent glassmaker.
Northwood commenced manufacturing iridescent carnival glass around
1908, and their carnival glass was very popular with patterns like
grape and cable, leaf and beads, singing birds, beaded cable, wild
rose, and peacock at the fountain.
The
company went into decline after Harry Northwood's death from disease
in 1918, and closed in 1925.
